Voi ch'ascoltate in rime sparse il suono
di quei sospiri ond'io nudriva 'l core
in sul mio primo giovenile errore
quand'era in parte altr'uom da quel ch'i' sono:

Ye who in scattered rhymes the sound doth hear
Of those deep sighs with which my heart once fed,
In my first youthful error that I led,
From who I was, another man, I'd appear,

叹息滋生充满我之心灵，
请君聆听这些零散节韵，
亦曾年少犯错桀骜不驯，
彼时如今之我大相径庭。

del vario stile in ch'io piango et ragiono
fra le vane speranze e 'l van dolore,
ove sia chi per prova intenda amore,
spero trovar pietà, nonché perdono.

In various styles I weep and reason here,
Amid vain hopes and vanquished pains dread,
The one, by trials, knows love's thread,
I hope to find pity and pardon sincere.

我使尽解数哭泣与沉吟，
在无谓希望痛楚中眩晕，
有谁历经明了爱之意蕴，
期盼慷慨予我宽恕怜悯。

Ma ben veggio or sí come al popol tutto
favola fui gran tempo, onde sovente
di me mesdesmo meco mi vergogno;

But now I see well how to the world, 
A fable I’ve been for many days, 
Where often, with self I now feel shame;

然而如今清楚看到自己，
只是人群眼中寓言蜚语，
内心难免时常羞愧不已；

et del mio vaneggiar vergogna è 'l frutto,
e 'l pentersi, e 'l conoscer chiaramente
che quanto piace al mondo è breve sogno.
